Conditions of use
The Vertical Laminar Air Flow (VLAF) is used for the protection
of the filling / packaging operations of products that are sensitive to
contamination.
Working principle :
A class ISO 5 (NF, EN, ISO 14644-1) laminar air flow is blown vertically from the
plenum towards the ground, and is guided within the area to be protected
via a system of either flexible PVC curtains or rigid polycarbonate panels.
This air flow maintains the area to be protected under a greater pressure
than the surrounding room, thus avoiding any cross contamination.
Construction :
The VLAF is composed of two plenums: a blowing plenum, equipped with
the HEPA filters, perfectly airtight to the EMERY test ; and a
ventilation plenum, located beside the blowing plenum, which holds
the ventilation fan, and blows the air into the blowing plenum. The
equipment can be fixed on the ceiling or mounted on simple feet or feet with casters.
